The Best Meatloaf Recipe

This is the best meatloaf recipe you can ever try! It’s simple to make and perfect for a speedy dinner.

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs lean ground beef (90-95% lean)
  • ½ cup grated onion or finely chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 large eggs
  • 3 tablespoons ketchup
  • ¾ cup Panko breadcrumbs
  • ⅓ cup milk (2% recommended)
  • 2 tablespoons dried parsley
  • 2 tablespoons Italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • ½ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

Meatloaf Sauce Ingredients

  • ¾ cup ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar
  • 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, grated onion, minced garlic, eggs, ketchup, Panko breadcrumbs, milk, parsley, Italian seasoning, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
  2. Press the meat mixture into a greased loaf pan.
  3. Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 40 minutes.
  4. While the meatloaf is baking, prepare the sauce by mixing together the ketchup, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, onion powder, garlic powder, and seasoning with salt and pepper.
  5. After 40 minutes, remove the meatloaf from the oven and spread the sauce evenly over the top.
  6. Return the meatloaf to the oven and bake for an additional 20 minutes.
